ZedHires Zambia exists to make finding a job in Zambia less painful. The site shows listings from across the country in one searchable place, with editorial standards that protect both candidates and employers. This page explains where our listings come from, how we handle attribution, and what to do if you have a concern about one of them.
Two types of listings
ZedHires shows two distinct kinds of listings, and we label each one clearly on the page:
- Direct postings — submitted to ZedHires by the employer themselves via our employer dashboard. Applications go through the channel the employer chose (the apply email or apply URL they provided).
- Curated listings — captured by our editorial team from public sources: employer careers portals, ReliefWeb, LinkedIn public job posts, the jobs sections of Zambian newspapers, and similar. Curated listings always link back to the original posting and route applications there.
How we curate
When we add a curated listing, we rewrite the role description in our own words, add structured fields (location, salary range, employment type, category) so it fits the site's filters, and link prominently back to the source. We do not copy-paste from the original posting and we do not republish the employer's full text without rewriting.
Wherever it helps a reader, we add a short editor's note under the listing — typical salary range for the role in Lusaka, what the employer's process tends to look like, related roles worth considering. That editorial commentary is clearly labelled and never presented as the employer's own words.
Attribution and traffic
Curated listings include a visible "Originally posted on [Source]" block with a direct link to the original posting. The primary apply button on those listings opens the source site in a new tab — we route applications to the employer, not into our own database. Our goal is to make Zambian job hunting more navigable, not to compete with employers for application traffic.
Freshness and expiry
Every listing on ZedHires has an expiry date. Once a listing reaches its expiry, it's automatically archived and disappears from the public listings index. The detail page stays accessible (with a notice that the listing has expired) so old links continue to work, but it stops appearing in search and category browsing. For curated listings we set a default of 30 days; the editorial team re-verifies listings during a weekly maintenance pass.
If you're an employer
We respect intellectual property. If you find a curated listing for one of your roles on ZedHires and would like it changed or removed, email hello@zedhires.com from a verifiable company email address. We remove listings on request within 24 hours. You're also welcome to claim the listing by posting it directly via the employer dashboard — that way you control its content, expiry, and apply channel.
If you're a candidate
ZedHires never asks job seekers to pay for applications, training, or processing. If anyone requests payment in connection with a listing you found here, please tell us via hello@zedhires.com and we'll investigate. We also run automated and editorial fraud screening on every listing before it goes live, but no screen is perfect — exercise your own judgement before sharing personal information or attending interviews.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error — wrong salary range, outdated deadline, miscategorised role — tell us at hello@zedhires.com and we'll fix it. The editor's note section of the listing is where we'll record material corrections so the change is visible to readers.
